Reverend Glasseye and his Wooden Legs, and Slim Cessna's Auto Club. If either of them comes to your town, you must attend the show! 'Nuff said. 4.30.02 Finally got some pix from the Batcave show. Unfortunately, they don't passs muster for the band website, but I did post them here secretly. Something about my eyes is freaky, but otherwise not too horribly bad... 4.26.02 *Whew* Long time no update. Things are pretty busy, I guess. Oh, well. I am going to make this for the next potluck I'm going to. That's about as far ahead as I've had time to think lately. Just found a really nice blog on Blogger.com, though. Check it out! 4.12.02 Ever been driven to hysterical laughter by an instruction label? This DBZ toy's WAYS AND MEANS just might do the trick. Be careful though - or you "May pre house the seamy side volitation!!!" {!?!} 4.11.02 *whew* The Batcave show seemed to be a success, for which I'm grateful. {And relieved that it is over.} Watched American Movie last night. What a trip - I thought it was a mockumentary the whole way through! The DVD comes with the actual "Coven" film, so we watched that, too. Amazing. Things at work are piling up - I do believe people have spring fever! 4.05.02 The first review of the Twink CD got printed! 5 out of 5 stars!! My favorite line: "Parlaying the whimsical charm of children's musical instruments like pianos, giggle sticks, and speak 'n spells into delightful yet complex and compelling compositions cannot be as easy as Langlie makes it seem." 4.04.02 Getting ready for the NY show this weekend. Kinda wishing it was over already. I still don't know how we're getting there, or what I'm wearing. And rehearsal time has been too scarce for my comfort. {Everyone else in the band has a real life, I guess. Or so it would seem.} 4.01.02 Saturday night at Manray, I sat right next to David J. of Bauhaus/Love & Rockets. He was there to promote his show @ Middle East. Being starstruck and kinda shy in general, I could not think of anything to say to him. Oh, well. {When he addressed the audience with a hearty, "Hello teenagers!" I felt a little bit old.} 3.29.02 Friday!! I feel like going out dancing this weekend. The weather has been so nice, I'm all energized. Hope Spring is here to stay. Picked up some gothmags last night for the heck of it. Funny how stuff like that is so readily available these days. When I was a kid, I had to scrounge for it. {Part of it could be that we lived in such a remote area...but now even the mall where I grew up has a Hot Topic store! amazing.} 3.28.02 Figured out the spacing problem with this page. Errant <br> tags. {duh} 3.27.02 Drowning in a sea of spreadsheets. Trying to figure out why there's a weird spacing issue with this page, too. As one of my web dev friends likes to say, "HTML is a little f#*@ing bitch." 3.26.02 The INCUS show last nite was a technical nightmare, but the energy was so good. I am still sorta giddy. The best part of the night was that the 1st DJ played a Twink song in the middle of his set. As far as I know, it was a total coincidence! We had never met him before, and the CD is not even released yet. The gods of randomness are so cool, sometimes! It makes me happy. 3.25.02 More tracking this weekend. Think I'm done, but the proof will be in the pudding mix. {?!?} INCUS has a show tonight at Ceremony. Looking forward to it - but nervous, as usual. {Not as nervous as I'll be at the Batcave show though. Rumor has it we're being scouted by some record labels! That show had better kick ass.} In non-INCUS news, my new favorite TV show is The Osbournes. A laugh a minute, at least! 3.21.02 Okay -here's a funny little track I forgot about. Mike and I played this version of Metallica's Enter Sandman on toy piano and cello. Lots of fun! Hope we don't get sued! {I remembered this because I was listening to Apocalyptica's Metallica cover album today.} 3.19.02 Rediscovering stations on mp3.com. {Mainly because the guy sitting next to me has been listening to the same Van Halen album over and over again for the past 2 days. Very loudly.} Anyway...lots and lots of good stuff on mp3.com. So many unsigned bands - so little time. 3.18.02 Spent the weekend tracking...tracking...tracking. Still tired, but thinking that the end will definitely be worth the means. {oh, i had forgotten how much work it is to make an album! selective memory, i guess.} 3.15.02 Not that anyone cares what i'm thinking about...but it is Friday and i'm glad the week is over. Plus I felt like making a page that looks like sorbet. In a meeting today, one of my bosses said he wanted to call {certain executives} in on a project because they really "bring the sorbet to the table." He also uses phrases like "I'm gonna throw you under the bus on this one." Odd.
